Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE: BFA)(NYSE: BFB) announced today that Michael A. Todman has agreed to stand for election to the company’s board of directors. Brown-Forman’s annual shareholders’ meeting is July 24 and Class A stockholders will vote on a slate of 12 directors, including 11 incumbent directors in addition to Todman.

Todman is the president, Whirlpool International, Whirlpool Corporation and has served on Whirlpool’s board of directors since 2006. He joined Whirlpool in 1993 and has served in a variety of financial, sales, marketing, new product development, and leadership roles over the course of his career. Prior to joining Whirlpool, Todman held leadership positions at Wang Laboratories and Price Waterhouse and Co. Todman currently serves on the board of directors of Newell-Rubbermaid.

A native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the son of a career diplomat, Todman has lived and/or worked in North and Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe. He is a graduate of Georgetown University.
