The show highlights a group of future manufacturers, taking a tour ofMercury Marine'sglobal headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and learning about the value of manufacturing.
'We thought Titan and his crew did a fantastic job highlighting the positive aspects of manufacturing at Mercury Marine,' said Chris Drees, Mercury Marine vice president of global manufacturing. 'Mercury is hiring and we need to continue to promote the positive aspects of a career in manufacturing.'
The show, which can be seen on MAVTV, spent a few days in Wisconsin beginning at Eleva-Strum high school and ending up in Fond du Lac.
'This experience was such a big learning opportunity for all of us,' said Eleva-Strum student Katelyn Vanlandingham,
Other students on the trip had the same experience, 'This has opened my eyes to a new world. I never would have thought machining was like this and I can definitely see myself doing something like this.'
'In 2013, our human resources team instilled a values based hiring model that has been very successful and has helped us attract and retain the type of employee we are looking for,' said Denise Devereaux, Mercury Marine vice president of human resources. 'We will hire employees that have the values we are looking for and teach them the skills they need to be successful.'
