Bursa de Valori Bucuresti : 10/5/2017 - Bucharest Stock Exchange to publish the 3rd edition of the Whitebook on Communication of Listed Companies on October 9th

Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) informs that it will publish the third edition of the Whitebook on Communication of Listed Companies, on Monday, October 9th. The Whitebook on Communication of Listed Companies is a result of periodical assessment carried out by the Bucharest Stock Exchange with a purpose of evaluating the quality, completeness and accuracy of information provided to investors by the issuers listed on BVB's Main Market.

The Whitebook to be published on October 9 results from the third assessment (after the previous one in 2017 and the first one in 2016).

The periodical Whitebook, together with the Guidebook on Best Practices in IR Communication, promote and educate on best standards in the field of Investors Relations, especially understood as a part of corporate governance of public companies, and recognize the best issuers.

According to research, 94% of global institutional investors believe that good governance affects company's valuation while 'poor' governance can result in a 30% discount. It is crucial for the confidence of investors, both local and international, that standards in a manner in which the companies communicate are applied and monitored in Romania.
