With a total of 242 apartments and 209 parking spaces, SOUTHGATE is currently the BUWOG Group's biggest project in Vienna. Following the rental segment (78 units), the privately financed apartments (164 units), which are distributed across five detached residential buildings, have now celebrated topping outs.

Together with BUWOG manager Andreas Holler, architect Sne Veselinovic and Markus Handler of the general contractor Handler Bau, Meidling's District Manager Gabriele Votava was delighted about the project running on schedule and the good cooperation of all those involved at the building site. The approximately 200 guests also included Walter Kraus, director of the Municipal Department for District Planning and Land Use (MA 21), as well as numerous representatives of the companies involved in the project.

'As part of the dynamic and conveniently located Altmannsdorf, SOUTHGATE offers an urban lifestyle, yet due to its intelligent architectural concept has a quiet location and provides sufficient space to retreat and expansive, park-like green areas in the residential complex. The right mix was important to us with this project - after beginning with the construction of subsidised rentals in the scope of the Vienna Housing Initiative, we are now delighted with the timely progress building the condominiums, which at this location are also suited especially as buy-to-rent apartments', says Andreas Holler, head of Property Development at the BUWOG Group.

Due to its orientation the entire complex provides a south-facing, light-flooded and friendly atmosphere, representing a haven of quiet in the urban and dynamically developing surrounding areas of Altmannsdorf and Hetzendorf. The well-thought-out arrangement of the buildings ensures a significant degree of privacy, also in the separate gardens, loggias and terraces. In the areas surrounding SOUTHGATE there are several schools and opportunities for shopping.
