Cape Middle East is delighted to announce the award of the Gulf Region Master Services Agreement contract for General Electric (GE) Power Services for an initial 1 year period, renewable annually.

The contract covers a total of 64 power facilities in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Iraq and is the first multi country, multi discipline award in the region. The disciplines initially covered are Access and Insulation with the potential to bolt on further disciplines in the future.

GE completed the purchase of Alstom's Power and Grid business in November 2015, creating an organisation that provides total power plant and life cycle solutions that can support equipment from multiple suppliers providing complementary technology. The organisation has a truly global capability and an installed base that is unsurpassed in the sector.

Steve Connolly, Regional MD for the Middle East, commented:

'This is a fantastic opportunity secured by the team and a landmark award for Cape's MENA business being a reflection of Cape's proud heritage in the Power sector. Importantly, I think this is a recognition by a forward thinking customer of the value that can be driven by a true multi discipline offering across multiple territories, and we look forward to working in partnership with GE Power Services to deliver a world class service and explore further geographical areas outside the GCC in the future.'
