China Machinery Engineering : CMEC Delivers 3,500 Freight Trains to Argentina

By August 31, all of the 3,500 freight trains had been delivered to the CMEC-contractedArgentine Belgrano freight railway reconstruction project. The trains will run on the continent of South America and showcase their glamour. Since the arrival of the first freight train of CMEC at Argentina on October 15, 2015, CMEChas delivered all the freight trainsto the country.

During the last two years, the project officeovercame suchdifficulties ofenormousshipment, short delivery period and tight shipping schedule, hitting a record of delivering 72.6 freight trains on average at a single berth of the country. For this, CMEC Comtranshas applied for the patent of 'solving the problem of multi-layer loadingof vehicles by using ship stowage', greatly increasing the work efficiency and saving costs.It is the result of theeffective cooperationand hard work of all employees of the project office.

The project owner spoke highly of the quality of freight trains delivered by CMEC,recognized thedevelopment and quality level of Chinese railway equipments, praised the critical role that CMECplays in the project, and expressed its firm confidence in continuing to deepen cooperation with CMEC. CMECwill, as always, provide Argentina with high-quality locomotive, vehicle and system solutions and better after-sales services, so as to complete the project smoothly and effectively.
