  • 　　On April 27, Sun Zhengcai, Municipal Party Secretary of Chongqing, inspected the Zhongliangshan Tunnel Project of Chengdu-Chongqing Highway undertaken by China Construction Fifth Engineering Division Corp., Ltd (CSCEC 5th Bureau). Accompanying the inspection was, among others, Mayor Huang Qifan of Chongqing.

    　　At the entrance of the tunnel, Party Secretary Sun asked for details about the project's progress, and closely examined such safety systems as Infrared Ray Gas Detection. He was satisfied with the project's overall progress and safety management, and put forward his requirement for high-gas construction in the next stage. Safety work, he stressed, must always come first, and the expansion and reconstruction of Zhongliangshan Tunnel should be completed in a safe and efficient manner and high-quality standard.

    　　The Tunnel, a key project of Chongqing Municipal government, is equipped with Infrared Ray Gas Detection System to ensure the construction safety of the high gas tunnel through enhancement of monitoring, ventilation and advanced detection. The new tunnel is expected to be completed and open to traffic in the Spring Festival of 2018.(from CSCEC 5th Bureau)
