  • On August 20, the glass bridge in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, the first of such bridges undertaken by China Construction Sixth Engineering Pision Corp., Ltd (CSCEC 6th Bureau) was open to the public on a trial basis.
    The 430m-long bridge is about 300m above the canyon bottom and is the highest, longest spatial cable suspension bridge with the largest transverse rise span ratio in the world. Its construction has made ten world records and is reputed as a model for bridge construction in the world. In the trial operation, the Bridge performs such functions as pedestrians' passage, sight-seeing, bungee, ziptreck and performance stage. (from CSCEC 6th Bureau)
