Citrix Systems, Inc., today announced that Citrix® Receiver? has been selected as the winner of the 2011 Best of Interop Award in the Wireless and Mobility category.

The winners for the 2011 Best of Interop Awards were hand-selected by award-winning editors and analysts from InformationWeek Analytics. There were more than 100 candidates for Best of Interop consideration in eight different technology categories. Each year, Best of Interop award winners prove to be the key players in the continuing evolution of business technology.

"The Best of Interop Awards presents leading-edge technologies of the outstanding IT vendors in the industry," said Art Wittmann, vice president and director, InformationWeek Analytics. "Each of the category winners represents market innovation and deserves recognition for helping build the energy and growth of today's IT marketplace."

And the Winner Is...

Citrix Receiver is a free, easy-to-install software application that delivers secure, seamless and consistent on-demand access to corporate data, business apps and desktops from any desired mobile device or mobile platform, including the rapidly increasing number of laptops, tablets and smartphones in the workplace. As enterprise IT faces the challenge of consumerization - employees bringing their own devices into the corporate environment and demanding access to data, applications and services - Citrix Receiver gives IT managers the "power to say yes" to these devices, providing a single solution to solve all of the support, user-authentication and security issues in enabling user access.

"Citrix Receiver empowers IT managers to stop worrying about managing end points or devices. Consumerization and workshifting are giving employees the ability to work from any device, anytime, anywhere," said Benjamin Baer, senior director of product marketing, Desktop Division, Citrix Systems. "Winning the Best of Interop award for Citrix Receiver is a testament to the strength of our solution and the momentum of the industry. We're very excited."

The Best of Interop Awards were announced at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center during this year's Interop Las Vegas, which concluded on Thursday, May 12. Best of Interop is hosted by InformationWeek Analytics. For more information on Best of Interop categories and awards, visit www.bestofinterop.com
