In recognition of Native American Heritage Month this November, Comcast will offer a collection of Native American content across Xfinity On Demand platforms including month-long unlimited access to a selection of films curated by Ian Skorodin. Directed exclusively by Native American women, these programs provide unique glimpses and insight into different lifestyles and cultures of Native American people – all through the eyes of women.

All programming will be featured on Xfinity’s Native American Heritage Month website and available on Xfinity On Demand, with select content also available on mobile devices via the Xfinity TV Go website and app.

"Xfinity TV is proud to celebrate the rich culture of the Native American community through providing relevant programming to customers on all our platforms," said Keesha Boyd, Executive Director of Multicultural Products and Consumer Services, Comcast Cable. “With this collection, our goal is to support Native American filmmakers and create an opportunity for our customers to learn more about this dynamic community through film and entertainment.”

Featured programming includes: Kissed By Lightning (feature film), The 6th World (short film), Lucky Spirit (short film), Kinda Like a Love Story (short film), Red Girls Reasoning (short film), Opal (short film), Hoverboard (short film), Jew in Choctaw Country (documentary series) and Tushka (feature film).

This year’s content will also include one-on-one interviews with both prominent and up-and-coming Native American filmmakers as well as classic movies such as Ishi: The Last Yahi, Trudell and The Last of the Mohicans.

Comcast has had a longstanding commitment to diversity since its founding 50 years ago and focuses its efforts in five key areas: diversity in governance, attracting and retaining a multicultural workforce, developing a diverse supplier base, offering a wide selection of multicultural programming, and community investment in national, regional and local diverse organizations.
