Comcast is announcing the opening of a new Xfinity Store in Eugene, Oregon, located at 1063 Valley River Way, adjacent to the Valley River Mall. The Eugene store is the latest store opening from Comcast, which has been transforming its customer centers across the country to make the experience better and more convenient for customers. The former Xfinity store on Chad Drive has closed permanently.

Customers can come to the new Eugene Xfinity Store to get help, pay their bills, ask questions, return equipment, resolve issues and experience our latest products and technology. To make the experience easier and faster for our customers, we’ve eliminated the need to wait in line – instead, customers can sign in to the service queue and explore the store’s demos and products during the short wait. Our goal is to get to customers in less than 10 minutes. The store also has a time-saving self-service kiosk for quick bill pay.

Future store enhancements include an online appointment booking system and text-ahead queuing, allowing customers to enter the service queue from their mobile device while on their way to the store. As another convenience to customers, the new store now sells a variety of products and accessories including HDMI cables, speakers, cordless phones, power supplies, and even plush Minions toys.

“We’re proud to provide our customers with a welcoming environment where they can experience our Xfinity products and services firsthand and check out our latest technology in an interactive environment,” said Mike Williams, director of retail sales for the Oregon/Southwest Washington Region. “And the ability to offer our customers the accessories they might need or want all in one place will eliminate the frustration of a trip to another store.”

Xfinity store employees will happily demonstrate how Netflix has recently been integrated into our X1 platform, as well as educate customers on the free mobile apps we have available, from Xfinity TV to the My Account app. Customers can also explore and experience the latest Xfinity products and services, with flat screen TVs, comfortable seating and an interactive iPad bar. Customers can test drive our new X1 Entertainment Operating System, check out our Xfinity Home products and more.

“One of the features of the new store that I’m most excited about is the introduction of Saturday Workshops to our area,” said store manager Renee Turpin. “These workshops give our customers the opportunity to demo all of the features our products offer, which they often don’t know about. They’re completely surprised when they discover that their X1 remote can tell them the weather or solve a math problem!”

The new store also contributes to the City’s economic development efforts, adding three employees, bringing the total headcount to sixteen. Lane County Commissioner Pat Farr values Comcast’s partnership and contributions to the local community. “This new store is another indicator of Comcast’s commitment to Lane County, Eugene and Springfield. Comcast has been a real asset to the economic viability of the County for year, and its employees, many of whom are long-time area residents, are active participants in the fabric of our community.”

The 4,500 square-foot Eugene store is part of Comcast’s larger transformation to ensure each of our customers has an exceptional experience with us from the moment they order a new service, to installation, to our interaction, whether it’s in person, online or over the phone. To accomplish this, we are making incremental investments of $300M in 2016, focusing our efforts on opening new customer support centers, hiring more customer service employees, redesigning all our stores and being on time for every tech appointment.

The Eugene Xfinity Store will be open seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 9 am - 7 pm, Saturday from 9 am – 5 pm, and Sunday from noon to 4:00 pm.
