COMDIRECT BANK AG Products, sales and marketing activities to be consolidated under the new CMO from 1 September
Quickborn. Dr Sven Deglow (45) is to join the Board of Managing Directors of comdirect bank AG effective as of 1 September 2015. The Supervisory Board made the decision at its meeting yesterday.
In his new role as CMO (Chief Marketing Officer), Deglow will be in charge of comdirect's core business lines banking, investing and trading. This consolidation and systematic focussing will strengthen the market position and ensure that comdirect is well positioned for the future. The individual areas that Deglow will be in charge of are as follows: banking, investing, trading, marketing and user interface. He will also continue to be a Member of the Supervisory Board of ebase.
"As Chief Representative, Sven Deglow has already done an excellent job of further developing the market side of comdirect over the last year," emphasised Martin Zielke, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of comdirect bank. "We are very happy to continue to work with him now as a member of the Board of Managing Directors. Sven Deglow knows the bank and the market - we are certain that he will further advance his areas of focus and comdirect as a whole with his energy and drive," Zielke continued.
Deglow has held various positions at comdirect since 2008. With a PhD in economics, at the direct bank he was head of business development/strategy, sales and direct marketing and HR. Prior to that, he held a number of different positions, including at LBS, Arcor and McKinsey.
