THE CLH GROUP RENEWS ITS EUROPEAN EXCELLENCE SEAL 500+ WITH A SCORE OF OVER 600 POINTS

The company is one of only three Spanish companies in the energy industry to have obtained this distinction

The CLH Group has renewed its European Excellence Seal 500+ awarded by the Club for Management Excellence (Club de Excelencia en Gestión or CEG) in recognition of the initiatives undertaken by the company in recent years to promote continuous improvement in its management systems, in the performance of its operations and in delivering its services.
In order to achieve this, CLH has undergone a strict assessment performed by professionals accredited by AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification) and CEG who, after paying a visit to the company and holding interviews with professionals in different areas and work centres, have awarded more than 600 points, the highest score ever obtained by the company.
Only 55 Spanish entities, just three of them in the energy industry, have obtained the European excellence distinction 500+, which is granted according to the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Excellence Model and represents the highest distinction awarded by the CEG for excellence in organisations, only a reduced number of organisations having obtained over 600 points.
The Assessment Report expressly acknowledges "the good and sustained results obtained by CLH in recent years", which have enabled it to be positioned as a reference model at both national and international level. In this regard, the assessors highlight "the efforts made by the company in diversifying its services and growing at an international level."
Furthermore, the report emphasises the technological leadership of CLH in its sector, "as shown by the improvements made in efficiency with regard to time optimisation and claim reduction."
It also highlights the company's "good financial muscle to face the investments currently being made in infrastructures and information systems", as well as its strong focus on processes "which enables it to integrate several management systems in a flexible and efficient way."
The report includes references to other positive aspects, such as the existence of a solid leadership which enables CLH to fulfil its business strategy, the use of capability assessment and training tools to improve people development within the company, and the emphasis on respecting sustainability criteria in carrying out its activities.
In order to renew this seal, all CLH's business areas have made a constant improvement effort by continuously reviewing their activity, as well as designing and implementing new projects and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and internal and external customer and stakeholder satisfaction.

EFQM Excellence Model

The CLH Group was first awarded the European Excellence Seal 500+ in 2010, four years after it started the implementation of the Excellence Model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) in its management systems, as an initiative to strengthen and progress on quality, environmental and safety and prevention systems, which had previously been implemented and certified. Since then, the company has renewed this certification every two years, improving its score every time.
The EFQM European Excellence Model involves a global company management that enables the needs and expectations of all stakeholders to be met in full and in a balanced way, aiming at improving the competitiveness of the company in the medium and long term.
Following this model, the company performs periodic self-assessments for a thorough analysis of the organisation and to increase awareness of its strengths and areas for improvement. Planning and implementation of improvement actions are followed up in an objective manner so that it is possible to assess the effectiveness of these initiatives at all times.
