CompuGroup Medical SE (CGM) officially opened a new building section yesterday. The company created a modern, inspiring work environment for around 170 additional employees on a surface area of 1,783 m². Among the guests, there was also political prominence like the mayor of the City of Koblenz, Prof. Dr. Joachim Hofmann-Göttig (SPD), present. After less than a year of construction, the new building section was completed. The new interior design is set out to be even more agile, to move around in a creative work environment, and thus to increase efficiency across the entire team.

'Due to a rapid knowledge enhancement, increased competitive pressure, dynamic changes, as well as the density and speed of information dissemination, the employees' desire for more effective work is great. The new building section is a symbol of growth on our successful path and communication platform for new ideas and developments,' said Frank Gotthardt, Chief Executive Officer of CompuGroup Medical SE. The aim of the new interior design in the sense of agile working is to work with a higher quality faster and more flexibly and thus to increase the profitability sustainably. Behind the implementation concept of agile working, there is a continuous and sustainable improvement. The focus is on employee satisfaction as well as on high customer satisfaction.

With its growth in Koblenz, CGM is recognizing its social responsibility as a major employer in the region, fulfilling a central commitment to its customers, shareholders, and employees with a sustained expansion course: CGM stands for IT in healthcare as an economic and medical success factor for the benefit of all parties involved and for an ever better care of patients. For this purpose, CGM is not only investing in business premises. The company is a relevant driver of the telematics infrastructure and the introduction of the electronic health card, one of the world's largest IT projects in healthcare. Here, too, it invests considerably in order to lead this large-scale project to success.

Meaning of eHealth in Germany

During the opening ceremony, prominent politicians and business leaders spoke about the importance of eHealth for Germany as a business location. In doing so, the speakers were pleased with the continuous growth and the helpful solutions of CGM: 'Medical knowledge is growing rapidly and with it CompuGroup Medical SE. This does not only apply to turnover and the customer base, but also to the number of employees at the Koblenz location,' said Prof. Dr. Joachim Hofmann-Göttig, mayor of the City of Koblenz. 'As mayor of the city, I am delighted to see the rootedness of the global software company which constructed another building to create 170 new highly qualified jobs.'

The software company has been located in the Koblenz commercial park for almost 30 years. In the meantime, 1,000 of the 4,300 employees are working in the technology park.
