Constantin Medien AG streamlines Management
Supervisory Board Chairman Dr Dieter Hahn: "Course set for the future"

Constantin Medien AG, Ismaning, rearranges its Management. The aim is to push forward the development of Constantin Medien Group, operating in the Segments Sports and Film, by means of a clearly focused management and to respond to the changing requirements regarding the markets and customer needs.

In the three-Member Management Board as presided by the CEO Bernhard Burgener, Hanns Beese, CFO of Constantin Film AG, in addition to this position will also be CFO of Constantin Medien AG. Fred Kogel will retain the responsibility for the realization of synergies within the Group and the responsibility for parts of the operating business such as TV production, Human Resources, IT and for the sports production subsidiary PLAZAMEDIA, both as Chief Officer of Constantin Medien AG and of Constantin Film AG. The former CFO of Constantin Medien AG, Antonio Arrigoni, will leave the Company on amicable terms in June at the end of the 2015 Annual General Meeting.

Hans Beese (52) has been Member of the Management Board of Constantin Film AG since October 2004. From 1990 to 1994, the business administration graduate worked as a controller for the Frankfurt-based Metallgesellschaft AG. After moving on to Deutsche Post AG, Bonn, he returned to Metallgesellschaft at the end of 1996 and became the Commercial Managing Director for the trading companies in Frankfurt, London and New York. In 1999, Mr Beese was appointed a Management Board member of the Metallgesellschaft's spin-off subsidiary MG plc, London, and later became the Managing Director of Emetra Ltd., also based in London. In 2003, he became CFO of GoIndustry AG in Munich.

A newly formed Executive Committee will assume the controlling of the media group operating in Munich and Switzerland in the future. In addition to the three Management Board Members of Constantin Medien AG - Bernhard Burgener, Fred Kogel and in the future Hanns Beese - this Executive Committee will include the Management Board Chairman of Constantin Film AG, Martin Moszkowicz, the Delegate of the Board of Directors of TEAM AG in Lucerne, Martin Wagner, and the Chairman of the Management of Sport1 GmbH, Olaf Schröder. The Executive Committee is under the chairmanship of CEO Bernhard Burgener. The role of the Executive Committee is to guarantee the operational controlling of the Group and the strategic development of its business by utilizing all potential and synergies available.

Dr Dieter Hahn, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Constantin Medien AG: "Over the past years, the business of Constantin Medien AG and the structure of the Group have changed significantly. With the changes decided now, we set the future course of Constantin Medien AG and its affiliated companies. CEO Bernhard Burgener commenting on the changes: "Through the new management structure, we expect considerable impulses for the further growth of our Group. New business models in the future will allow a much faster implementation based on an early use of the entire Group's know-how. The positive experience in the digital transformation of our free-TV broadcaster SPORT1 to the digital 360°-platform provides impulses also for other business segments and new business models. A more intensive collaboration of the Group's companies located in Munich will additionally demonstrate substantial operational synergies and gains in efficiency."
