  • Continental tire brand places first in Auto Zeitung readers' choice 2013
  • Continental awarded for the sixth time
  • Around 20,000 readers placed their votes

Around 20,000 readers placed their votes for the Auto Zeitung magazine's annual readers' choice award for the "top brand" and voted Continental as the top brand for 2013 in the "Tire" category. This was the sixth time that the Hanover-based premium tire manufacturer was named the top tire brand, with the following places taken by brands from France, the U.S.A., Japan, and Italy. The readers of Auto Zeitung selected their top brands in a total of 20 categories. The results have been published in the current issue of Auto Zeitung (6/14).

"We are delighted about this award and the trust that Auto Zeitung readers place in our premium tire brand Continental. In addition to the excellent results in summer and winter tire tests, the numerous approvals from vehicle manufacturers - which Auto Zeitung readers can find in almost all vehicle reports - are presumably also having an impact on how our brand is perceived," said Wolfgang Thomale, head of marketing and sales for Continental's Passenger Car and Light Truck Replacement Business in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. "Even though we have been awarded as the top tire brand several times before, it has given our entire team a high level of motivation to defend their leading position in the future as well," continues Thomale.
