  • New support function Purchasing in Chassis & Safety Division, headed by Friedrich Angerbauer, established

Frankfurt am Main, Germany, November 5, 2013. Karlheinz Haupt (56) has assumed responsibility for the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Business Unit in Continental's Chassis & Safety Division effective November 1, 2013. The business unit is headquartered in Lindau, Germany. He succeeds Friedrich Angerbauer (49) who has been appointed Head of Purchasing for the Chassis & Safety Division.

The changes will further strengthen the organization of the Chassis & Safety Division. They follow the recent strategic realignment of the business units in 2013. A business support function Purchasing has been established within the division to bundle and coordinate all purchasing activities within the division in close cooperation with the business units.

In their new positions, Haupt and Angerbauer will report to Frank Jourdan, Executive Board Member Continental AG and President of the Chassis & Safety Division. Since 2010, Haupt was the head of Corporate Quality & Environment and Quality Automotive. He possesses years of experience in innovative technologies and engineering. Angerbauer has a strong background in operations and purchasing at Continental.
