INFORMATION
The Board of Directors and employees of the Corticeira Amorim Group sadly announce the death of Américo Amorim, to whom they pay their deepest respects.
Américo Amorim led the Corticeira Amorim Group for decades, being the main precursor of the professionalization, modernisation, innovation and sustainability of both the Corticeira Amorim Group and the cork industry as a whole.
In 2001, Américo Amorim transferred the executive leadership of Corticeira Amorim, SGPS,
S.A. to António Rios de Amorim, to whom he entrusted the management of the cork business area.
In recognition of the legacy they proudly received from Américo Amorim in 2001, and which they have had the privilege of developing and consolidating since then, António Rios de Amorim and the Group team will continue in the same way, and now with a renewed sense of responsibility, to carry forward and honour the history of the Corticeira Amorim Group.
