In other energy & transportation news and happenings: NG Advantage LLC - a Clean Energy Fuels Corp company (NASDAQ: CLNE) - announced late last month that it has signed a contract to work with International Paper (IP) to deliver compressed natural gas (CNG) to International Paper's Ticonderoga, N.Y. mill. NG Advantage will deliver CNG to the mill using its Virtual Pipeline which consists of compressor stations located on natural gas pipelines, a fleet of specially designed carbon fiber CNG trailers, and off-loading and monitoring equipment which NG Advantage is installing at the mill. Deliveries will begin in May of 2015.

Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS) announced in late April that the Tortue-1 exploration well, drilled to test the Tortue West prospect, which forms part of the Greater Tortue Complex, in Block C-8 offshore Mauritania has made a significant, play-opening gas discovery. Based on the preliminary analysis of drilling results and intermediate logging to a depth of 4,630 meters, Tortue-1 has intersected 107 meters (351 feet) of net hydrocarbon pay. A single gas pool was encountered in the primary Lower Cenomanian objective. The Lower Cenomanian is comprised of three excellent quality multi-Darcy reservoirs totaling 88 meters (288 feet) in thickness over a gross hydrocarbon bearing interval of 160 meters (528 feet). A fourth zone 19 meters (62 feet) thick was penetrated within the secondary Upper Cenomanian target over a gross hydrocarbon bearing interval of 150 meters (492 feet).

Golar LNG (NASDAQ: GLNG) announced that it has commenced discussions with partners Keppel and Black & Veatch aimed at exercising an option, under an existing framework agreement, for the ordering of a third GoFLNG unit similar to the Hilli and the Gimi. The specific objective of these discussions will be to mature the option to deliver a third unit for start-up in 2018 i.e. between the target on-stream dates of 2017 and 2019 for the first two units destined respectively for Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. This initiative flows from significant interest being stimulated today by Golar's new approach to developing FLNG projects. The company continues to evolve its opportunity funnel and has identified a number of possible leads for deploying facilities similar to Hilli and Gimi, for the commercialisation of high quality, stranded gas accumulations in relatively benign met-ocean conditions. Work continues to mature these leads, although these remain subject to business development uncertainty.
