Company Announcement
Delta SBD Limited (ASX code: DSB) is pleased to announce that
the current development contract at Whitehaven Coal's
Narrabri Mine has been extended until 30 December 2013 and
the new Joy continuous miner has been deployed as part of
this extension.
Mr Stephen Bizzaca, Delta SBD's Chief Executive Officer,
commented:
"The contract extension and the immediate deployment of our
new Joy 12CM30 continuous miner continues to demonstrate our
strong capability in this type of work, and reinforces our
strategy to provide new 'fit for purpose' equipment to
underpin the execution of these projects. More significantly,
this will be our first development contract outside the
Illawarra where we will be utilising one of the company's
continuous miners."
"The contract extension also includes options for a further
term extension, as well as personnel for a third development
unit," Mr Bizzaca said.
