NORWALK, Conn., June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Diageo has ranked an impressive number four on Diversity MBA's prestigious list of the best places in the country for diverse and women managers to work. This is the third consecutive year that Diversity MBA, a national leadership organization, has named Diageo to its list. Diageo is the world's leading spirits, beer and wine company.

For the 2014 list, Diversity MBA expanded the criteria to include analysis of, not only systems and methodologies for inclusive diversity, but metrics that drive both results and impact. This ranking celebrates companies that implement intentional strategies supporting inclusive and active diversity. The categories evaluated include: accountability, succession planning, representation, recruitment, workplace inclusion and retention, and board diversity. Diageo was specifically acknowledged as Best in Class for recruitment, succession planning, and board diversity.

"We believe that it is diverse teams working in inclusive environments that breed innovation and drive stronger business results," said Eliana Zem, Senior Vice President Human Resources, Diageo North America. "We are committed to creating an organization that represents all dimensions of diversity and we continue to evolve our inclusive culture where every employee feels valued for who they are."

"The Best in Class companies have effectively implemented performance metrics to measure inclusion on a routine basis that has impact to support driving change," said Pam McElvane, CEO and Publisher, Diversity MBA Magazine.

The recognition from Diversity MBA comes on the heels of a host of recent awards for Diageo's commitment to inclusion and diversity. In 2014 and 2013, honors Diageo has received include:
