Digitalx : Money Transfers Launched

Further to the previous announcement on 2 March 2017, DigitalX Limited (ASX: DCC and "the Company") is pleased to announce that the update to its AirPocket app allowing money transfers into certain countries in Latin America went live on Tuesday, 8 March in the USA on Android, with availability for Apple users to follow shortly following usual Apple processes.

AirPocket is the first Blockchain-enhanced mobile payments application in the world, and the launch marks a significant milestone for DigitalX with AirPocket now offering users in select countries the ability to make low-cost cross-border money transfers to their friends and family from the US.

Initially, both El Salvador, with over 1,000 payout locations, and our core market, Mexico with over 14,000 payout locations, are now able to use AirPocket for money transfers, with other countries in Latin America to come online shortly.

Leigh Travers , the Company CEO stated, "This is the first step in our vision to provide low-cost financial services to the underbanked immigrants of the world. While there have been some delays in the launch, the AirPocket technology was not the limiting factor. In a marketplace that still relies heavily on legacy infrastructure, we are more encouraged than ever to provide bank- grade security and Blockchain technology.
