MEXICO CITY, APRIL 22-24, 2014-Dresser-Rand, a global supplier of rotating equipment solutions to the oil, gas, petrochemical, power, and process industries, will showcase state-of-the-art technologies designed to improve efficiency, reduce life cycle costs and decrease emissions for the offshore sector at the 2014 Pemex Expo.

Executives and engineers who visit booth #257 will have an opportunity to explore various Dresser-Rand technologies including DATUM® I compressors, Guascor® gas engines, and Envision® Condition Monitoring Software.

Dresser-Rand DATUM I Compressor Offers Separation Technology
The newest model of the DATUM family, the DATUM I compressor, incorporates proprietary Dresser-Rand centrifugal separation technology within the compressor body to remove liquid from the incoming gas stream and eliminate the need for conventional external separation equipment.

The DATUM I compressor is part of the DATUM® ICS (Integrated Compression System), that uses as a platform high-efficiency DATUM® centrifugal compressor technology driven by a high-speed, close-coupled motor, with an integrated rotary gas-liquid separation unit, packaged with process gas coolers in a single module. It provides a complete compression system that can be applied upstream, midstream and downstream with the smallest footprint, reduced weight and at the lowest total installed cost.

Condition Monitoring Software Offers More Control
Dresser-Rand's Envision® condition monitoring software allows for process control and condition monitoring within a single computer platform. Unlike traditional systems that use separate control and monitoring displays, the Envision system combines these primary functions for unprecedented insight into a unit's performance and mechanical health.

Using Envision software, engineers can monitor the offshore fields from a control room onshore and draw conclusions of an imbalance in the system through the data they receive. This allows them to act quickly to resolve mechanical issues and prevent mechanical failures before they occur. Aside from its diagnostic advantages, the Envision suite prolongs the life of oil and gas machinery and reduces life cycle costs by keeping constantly monitored equipment well-maintained.

Increase Power with Guascor Gas Engines
Dresser-Rand's four-stroke, direct injected, turbocharged, after-cooled Guascor engine with four valves per cylinder is the latest technology in supercharging and fuel injection.

The design of the engine's piston and cylinder head, along with its liner cooling systems, facilitates thermodynamic balance; the result is less wear and longer duration of the engine components. Piston tightness is achieved using three rings that also provide minimum friction and reduce oil consumption. More than 90 percent of the parts of the different Guascor models are interchangeable which enables larger production runs, improved quality controls and better spares service.
