"Duke Realty associates are firmly committed to helping strengthen the communities where we live and work and, each year, donate thousands of hours of their time to philanthropic organizations across the country," said Denny Oklak, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Duke Realty. "This year, we wanted to strengthen our efforts so we designated April 11, the Friday of National Volunteer Week, as our company-wide Day of Service. Gleaners, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger by securing, storing and redistributing donated food to hunger relief agencies, is also taking advantage of National Volunteer Week and April 11 to acknowledge individuals and businesses that help them do their work. Congressman Andre Carson will join representatives of Gleaners in expressing gratitude to those who help ensure that men, women and children in our state don't go hungry.

In addition to donating their time at Gleaners, Duke Realty Indianapolis associates have raised money and collected canned food donations.
