(Columbus, Ohio - Aug. 5, 2015) The Columbus office of Duke Realty Corporation (Duke Realty), a leading nationwide REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) specializing in the ownership, management and development of bulk industrial facilities, is developing a 421,200-square-foot, build-to-suit bulk warehouse for BASF Corporation. The new facility is being constructed on a 33-acre site in the intermodal campus of Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park (RGLP), a 1,576-acre, multi-modal industrial development being developed through a partnership between Duke Realty, Columbus Regional Airport Authority and Capitol Square, Ltd. The new facility will be adjacent to Rickenbacker Parkway, a Loaded-to-Capacity Zone, and in close proximity to Norfolk Southern's intermodal terminal and cargo-dedicated Rickenbacker International Airport.

"We are pleased to have been selected as the developer of this new distribution center in the Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park," said Art Makris, Vice President of Leasing and Development in Duke Realty's Columbus office. "This new, built-to-suit facility will provide our client with the space they need now, plus give them flexibility for future growth. Plus it will include modern features that will enable the most efficient storage and shipment of products."

"The selection of RGLP is further proof of the business-enhancing attributes of this growing logistics park," said Robin Holderman, Chief Development Officer with the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. "The ability to choose between air cargo shipments, rail transport and highway hauling, and have immediate access to all of those options right in the park, is attractive to companies seeking to optimize their delivery capabilities."

Completion of the build-to-suit, bulk warehouse is slated for early 2016. The cross-docked building will feature 32′ clear height; 28 dock doors with levelers, bumpers, seals and lights; two 14′ x 14′ drive-in doors, 54′ x 50′ bay spacing (54′ x 60′ at the dock bays), staging for 50 trailers next to the building and a 135′ truck court. In conjunction with construction of the building, Duke Realty is completing road improvements near the site.

Land is still available for future development in Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park. Parties interested in build-to-suit or prelease opportunities in the park are invited to contact Duke Realty at 614.932.6000.

About Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park

Located just southeast of Columbus, Ohio, Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park is accessible from I-270, I-71, I-70, Highway 23 and Highway 33 and is within a one-day truck drive of nearly 50 percent of the U.S. and one-third of the Canadian populations, with convenient access to air and rail transportation. To further aid in the efficient movement of product, Rickenbacker Parkway and other roadways within RGLP have been designated as Loaded-to-Capacity zones. This designation enables companies with a special intermodal hauling permit to operate overweight vehicles or move overweight loads within the park. By maximizing container capacity, companies can increase load volume by up to 20 percent. The park is also a designated Foreign-Trade Zone which offers companies potential advantages when it comes to customs entry procedures and import duties. RGLP is being developed through a partnership between the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, Capitol Square, Ltd. and Duke Realty.
