'Content is king' - that's our guiding slogan at EASY product development. So what's the idea behind it? Processes are the core of a company, and EASY knows how to provide efficient support for them. The EASY PCM Suite supports on premise, cloud, and hybrid scenarios, with the cloud playing a prominent role, and our SAP-based contract management is also available in the SAP cloud. So far, so good. But what does this really look like in our modern world? A topic like service as a software is currently evolving on the market. If we look at today's SAP landscape, it's clear that a large number of applications have been added recently. These include SuccessFactors for HR processes, Concur for travel cost accounting, or SAP Ariba for procurement.

Central Goal: The Right Overall Solution

On the other hand, there are lots of new technologies available as platform services, such as big data, predictive analytics, machine learning, etc. Of course, EASY Archive Smart is another. Such services must be fully integrated into current core processes and made to work together. Our goal is to combine individual components such as software as a service, platform as a service, and on-premises to create an overall solution in the form of data, documents, and workflows in one process and one solution. Where these data, documents, or workflows are stored or running is irrelevant. What's important is that the overall solution has to be the right one for the situation.

Solutions and Integration are Our Focus

That's our understanding at EASY, alongside our partners. We offer solutions and integration, combining SAP and non-SAP worlds. In addition, EASY SPIRIT components can also be integrated into the SAP system. Customers / partners can use the interfaces we provide them in the EASY PCM Suite. The SAP cloud platform, other SAP platform services, and EASY PCM Process2Design® can be used to build customised processes or implement pre-fabricated PCM Process2Go modules. Process2Go modules offer not only technical integration of the components described, but also pre-fabricated speciality process solutions. They also offer customers/partners the opportunity to achieve project success quickly based on best practices.

Core Processes, Industry 4.0, and Predictive Analytics

So what does all this have to do with Industry 4.0 and Predictive Analytics? Well, quite a bit. The focus here is on linking data and numbers - available to us in our core processes, for instance, in SAP - with forecast models. One issue is forecasting machine downtimes and maintenance times, so-called predictive maintenance. Companies plan maintenance and exchanges of certain machine components in accordance with forecasts supported by algorithms. To allow EASY to integrate such processes, the company works with Statworx, a consulting specialist for statistics, data mining, and predictive analytics headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Zurich, and Vienna, and with iXLOG Unternehmensberatung GmbH (Hofheim, Kreuzlingen, and Vienna). These companies combine data from predictive analytics with Process2Design® and SAP, for example to map maintenance processes.
