More than 750,000 families are set to travel with easyJet this summer, and to make young travellers' journeys even more exciting, Europe's leading airline has been providing fun activities and experiences as part of its Summer Fun Campaign.

easyJet is providing pre-flight fun for some young passengers by giving them the exciting job of making boarding announcements in their very own easyJet cabin crew uniform, before jetting off on their Summer holidays.

Many of easyJet's UK bases are having fancy dress fun, with the airline's London Gatwick team creating an Alice in Wonderland experience, and Manchester airport's team transforming into minions, everyone's favourite yellow 'Despicable Me' characters. Families across the UK can expect all kinds of entertaining travelling experiences with easyJet, including initiatives such as stickers, badges, high fives and more.

The Summer Fun Campaign also includes easyJet's launch of the Little Traveller's Log Book, which provides young passengers with fun flying facts, a full flight log, and space for the captain's signature. Additionally, to make the journey even more enjoyable the airline has recently launched its summer Flybraries (Flying Libraries), providing seven thousand copies of children's classic books in passenger seat-pockets across the entire UK fleet. Young passengers can enjoy classic children's books in-flight, which have been selected by Dame Jacqueline Wilson. These include Peter Pan, Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, The Railway Childrenand The Wizard of Oz.

Captain Brian Tyrell, Head of Flight Operations at easyJet said:

'Over 750,000 families travel with easyJet throughout the Summer, and we understand that sometimes keeping kids entertained at 30,000 feet can seem daunting which is why we want to make travelling with children as easy as possible.

'We have a number of family-friendly initiatives in place including allowing families to bring essential items of luggage free of charge such as travel seats or buggies. Our pilots and crew also love meeting our little travellers and making their flying experience with us as fun and exciting as possible.

'We hope that our young travellers will enjoy the fun activities we have going on across our UK bases and onboard with us this Summer.'

Whilst easyJet aims to make travel easy for all of its passengers, the airline has some specific things in place for families. These can be found at: www.easyjet.com/en/help/preparing-to-fly/flying-with-children
