PITTSBURGH, PA
- Power management company Eaton dedicated its new training center, the Vince Saporita Technical Center, during a ceremony in April 2016, in recognition of Saporita, a 41-year industry veteran and recently retired Eaton vice president of technical sales for Bussmann® series products. During the dedication ceremony in April, Eaton emphasized its commitment to advance electrical safety and equipment protection. Located in Ellisville, Missouri, the training center for Eaton's Bussmann Division provides customized training sessions for consulting and design engineers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and distributors.

'Our training and testing facilities underscore Eaton's commitment to training the next generation of electricians, electrical engineers, consultants and inspectors on the benefits of fusible electrical products,' said Peter Lugo, vice president and general manager Bussmann Division, Eaton. 'This hands-on training facility is designed to help customers better understand code requirements, short-circuit current ratings and selective coordination requirements to enhance safety, protect equipment and improve reliability.'

The training facility is part of a larger campus that includes a manufacturing plant, distribution center and offices of Eaton's Bussmann Division. The campus also includes the Paul P. Gubany Center for High Power Technology, a comprehensive facility for testing and certifying electrical components and assemblies. One of ten high power test laboratories worldwide, it provides the industry with a facility for testing electrical devices over the widest range of volt, ampere and frequency combinations.
