Announcement Underscores E-Mon's Commitment to Multi-Vendor Interoperability and Multi-Protocol Support in Building Automation and Energy Monitoring Applications

SAN JOSE, Calif., September 30, 2013 - Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ: ELON), the world's leading control networking platform provider, today announced that its customer E-Mon, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell (NYSE: HON), has released several models of its advanced sub-meter family with LonWorks® communications based on the Echelon FT 5000 transceiver. The newly introduced metering devices include the advanced Class 3200, 3400, 5000, Green Class Net Meter, Din-Mon and Interval Data Recorders. By choosing the LonWorks platform, E-Mon can meet their customers' requirements for interoperability with multiple vendor products.

By doing so, customers can enable applications such as tenant billing, cost allocation, demand side management, energy conservation, load profiling, and green building programs.
