Forbes Middle East magazine's list of most powerful Arab women ranks Hala Badri 33rd in Executive Management category

Dubai, UAE: Hala Badri, Executive Vice President, Brand and Communications, du, has been ranked 33rd within the 'Executive Management' category of Forbes Middle East's The 200 Most Powerful Arab Women listing. The category honours 56 Arab women, who, through their hard work, dedication and persever¬ance, have climbed high up the corporate ladder. Badri is also ranked the 26th most powerful Arab woman in the UAE.

This year marked the first time that the magazine's prestigious ranking included accomplished women who occupy senior positions in the corporate world. These women have risen through the ranks to assume C-level, board, chair and presidential roles within their respective organizations, and account for 28% of the list.

Since 2006, Hala Badri has steered du's Brand Experience and Communications functions to great success. Amongst several accolades achieved during her tenure is the MENA region's first Gold Lion in the Cannes Lions Film category, for the du Tuesday campaign videos, 'Too Complicated' and 'Too Depressing', which was received in early 2014. Under the kind patronage of HE Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum, Badri is also the recent recipient of Hospitality Management Holdings' HMH Award for Excellence, in recognition of her commitment to corporate responsibility, and her contributions to initiatives in the UAE. 

Forbes Middle East's 'Executive Management' category  ranking for 2014 is based on a number of criteria covering the degree of power associated with the candidate's position; her years of professional experience; the individual's media interaction and online presence; her number of years in operation; the number of countries in which her organization has operations; and, her number of employees.

Forbes Middle East's list of top 200 Most Powerful Arab Women includes a total of 26 UAE nationals working in government positions, family businesses and executive management roles.
