Energy management technology and services company, Energy Action Limited (ASX: EAX) ('Energy Action'), is pleased to announce the establishment of its new Technical Advisory Board (TAB). This initiative will ensure that Energy Action remains at the forefront of the rapidly evolving technologies and applications in the energy sector, in conjunction to pre-empting market and regulatory changes. Both these areas continue to provide new opportunities for the company and its diverse and growing client base.

The Technical Advisory Board is comprised of Energy Action appointees Dr Ronald Watts (Non-Executive Director), Dr Paul Bannister (Projects & Advisory Services Director) and David Rylah (Trading and Pricing Director). Energy Action is pleased to announce that Dr Lorraine Stephenson and Dr Chris Strickland have additionally joined the TAB as external independent members.

This mix of internal and external TAB appointees brings together an ideal combination of those who are familiar with Energy Action and its operations, alongside independent members who have broader industry exposure, with all sharing an unrivalled depth of knowledge, expertise and experience in the Australian energy sector.

Dr Lorraine Stephenson has over 30 years' experience in the energy industry, with skills in strategic and operational risk management and a strong focus on identifying new trends and opportunities. Dr Stephenson is currently a Non-Executive Director at Ergon Energy, is the founder and principal of her own energy consultancy and is a Fellow and Queensland Division Committee member of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering.

Co-founder and CEO of the Lacima Group, Dr Chris Strickland has over 15 years' global experience advising on energy risk management and complex derivative valuation. He is a recognised expert in this field with many awards and accolades, most notably being inducted into the Energy Risk Hall of Fame in 2005. Dr Strickland is an Honorary Fellow at Macquarie University.

In addition to industry experience, the TAB members have also been chosen for their understanding of the complexities of technology-market interaction, and in particular how this may impact upon Energy Action and its customer base.

The TAB will assist with the medium to long term planning in the development and acquisition of technology, and to gain a good understanding of its impact on current and future markets within which the Company operates. The TAB will also keep the Board and senior management apprised of the implications of new and emerging technologies.

Commenting on this initiative, Energy Action Chief Executive Officer, Mr Scott Wooldridge stated: 'It is critical that Energy Action remains well informed of current and emerging technologies in conjunction to market and regulatory conditions, so that we may maintain our position as Australia's leading energy management technology and services company.'

'Accordingly, we have established this Technical Advisory Board so that we can remain abreast of current technologies and continue to provide our clients with the most innovative energy efficiency and energy management solutions.'

Energy Action Chairman, Murray Bleach, added: 'This is an important initiative for the Company that will not only ensure we remain at the forefront of utilising technology to deliver the best outcomes for our clients, but also in terms of providing ongoing technical expertise and guidance to the Board and management.'
