KANSAS CITY, Kan., Jan. 30, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Epiq Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:EPIQ), a leading provider of managed technology for the global legal profession, today announced the promotion of Brad D. Scott to executive vice president, co-chief operating officer and chief of staff. His previous position was senior vice president, chief human resources officer. In his new position he will continue to report to Christopher E. Olofson, president and chief operating officer.

Mr. Scott joined Epiq in December, 2011, when the company acquired De Novo Legal LLC, an eDiscovery business headquartered in New York City. Mr. Scott served as president of De Novo and previously served in various executive leadership roles at WilmerHale, LLP, Heller Ehrman, LLP and Weil, Gotshal and Manges, LLP and as a strategic consultant and executive at IBM. Mr. Scott holds an MS degree in human performance from the University of Illinois and a BS degree in engineering from The United States Military Academy at West Point.
