This year we combined our experience of Networked Society workshops held previously in IX Gymnasium and I Technical School Tesla with Ericsson's global competition Girls Who Innovate. This resulted in workshops run by Ericsson Nikola Tesla employees in three secondary schools in Zagreb - IX gymnasium, XV gymnasium and XVI gymnasium. The purpose of the workshops was to support innovation skills development in girls, raise their interest in ICT and encourage them to continue their education and careers in this field. The workshops were also an opportunity for girls to get a deeper understanding of ICT industry and its importance in contemporary life and business. One of the practical tasks for participants was to work out an idea that resolves one of the challenges related to the future of education, which is the topic of Ericsson's global competition Girls Who Innovate this year. The competition runs until the 25th May. More information about this competition and a link to participate in it can be found on Ericsson's dedicated page .

Furthermore, this year's Girls in ICT Day was also marked with a motivational lecture by our colleague Ivana Stupar held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Information Technologies in Osijek. This lecture is a part of the company's continued collaboration with academic institutions with which we also wish to increase the number of girls in ICT industry, among other.
