FCA closed January with sales in Italy up 0.7% and market share at 28.5%. The Italian top ten was dominated by no less than seven FCA models. These included the Fiat Panda and 500X (top two) together with the Fiat 500, Fiat Tipo, Lancia Ypsilon, Fiat 500L and - for the first time - the Jeep Compass. Driven by results for the Compass and the Renegade, Jeep brand sales in January were up 107.7% year-over-year. Alfa Romeo also posted strong results, with the Stelvio (leader in its segment) and the Giulia driving a 28.3% increase in sales.

In January, the Group continued its balanced management of market share and financial results in line with the closing months of 2017. The Lancia Ypsilon continued as one of the most popular vehicles in both the B segment and Italy overall.

Alfa Romeo posted a strong monthly performance, with January sales up 28.3% year-over-year to more than 4,500 vehicles and market share 50 basis points higher at 2.5%.
