(TSXV: GES) (MUN: 1GE) ("Gemoscan" or the "Company"), announced today that while the Company has attempted to finalize the previously announced proposed acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding common shares of 2275518 Ontario Inc. and related companies, jointly known and presented as Abira Healthcare ("Abira"); Abira and its principals have, despite repeated requests by the Company, to date, not yet provided Gemoscan with satisfactory due diligence materials including complete, audited financials statements for Abira. As a result, Gemoscan has, effective immediately, abandoned its proposed acquisition of Abira.

The Exchange has in no way passed upon the merits of the proposed transaction and has neither approved nor disapproved the contents of this press release.
