ANCHORAGE, ALASKA- Oct. 20, 2016 -GCItoday announced that residents in Mountain Village, St. Mary's, Quinhagak and Tununak will soon experience a faster and improved mobile internet connection as they are upgraded to GCI's 3G service.

The network upgrade, scheduled to be completed over the next 30 days, will connect residents in those communities to faster mobile data speeds and give customers faster video, web browsing and streaming capabilities.

'GCI continues to invest in our network so that we can deliver better services to our customers across Alaska,' said Martin Cary, senior vice president and general manager of GCI Business. 'Over the past decade we've brought high speed internet to dozens of communities and we're pleased to add Tununak, St. Mary's, Quinhagak and Mountain Village to that list.'

Residents can expect the 3G service upgrade to begin in the coming weeks.
