Royal Building Products is pleased to announce its partnership with Habitat for Humanity and professional homebuilders across the United States during Home Builders Blitz 2012. Habitat for Humanity will build, rehabilitate or repair more than 200 homes in partnership with low-income families across the country as part of its Home Builders Blitz program, with work on most of these homes taking place the week of June 4.

Royal Building Products is contributing vinyl siding, trim and accessories for 55 projects in Tennessee, Ohio and Indiana during Home Builders Blitz 2012.

"Royal Building Products has a long history of supporting the communities where we operate," said Mark Orcutt, executive vice president-Building Products at Royal's parent company, Georgia Gulf Corporation.

"Our partnership with Habitat for Humanity during the 2012 Home Builders Blitz is an opportunity for Royal Building Products to contribute high-quality, durable and sustainable vinyl building materials that will minimize the time and expense these families will need to spend maintaining the exterior of their homes," Orcutt said.

"I want to thank Royal Building Products for stepping up to the plate during this challenging economic environment to work with Habitat to help improve the lives of more than 50 families in Tennessee, Indiana and Ohio," said Steve Thomas, who is working with Habitat for Humanity International to raise awareness about Home Builders Blitz. Thomas is former host of the PBS television program This Old House and Renovation Nation on Discovery channel's Green Planet.

"This cooperative effort demonstrates the life-changing results that can occur when businesses like Royal Building Products and Habitat for Humanity work together to help those in need," Thomas said.

Royal Building Products, which has been manufacturing vinyl siding for 40 years, will be working with ABC Supply Co. Inc. and Modern Builders Supply to contribute three of its leading brands of siding for the homes it is supporting during Home Builders Blitz 2012.

Celect Cellular Exteriors by Royal: The company's newest and most innovative siding will be installed on three homes being constructed near Memphis, Tenn. Celect is a 100-percent recyclable, dimensionally stable siding made from cellular materials that faithfully emulates the appearance of wood. Celect's gravity-lock design keeps courses of siding locked tight to each other -- sealing out moisture and maintaining structural integrity even during the harshest weather conditions - while a factory-applied Kynar Aquatec® coating provides outstanding UV fade resistance. Celect is manufactured in Newbern, Tenn.

Royal Haven™ Insulated Siding: Introduced to the U.S. markets in 2011, Haven is designed with 1-1/4"-thick foam that allows for coordinated thermal expansion of insulation and siding, which reduces the risk of cracking, breaking and distortion. Haven provides an aesthetically sophisticated way to increase R-value and reduce energy consumption, enhance impact resistance and sound deadening while providing a flatter, more authentic appearance for the home exterior. Manufactured at the company's facility in Columbus, Ohio, Royal Haven siding will be installed at nine Builders Blitz homes in Indiana and Ohio.

Royal Genesis Siding: This brand uses Royal's exclusive Dura™Color Protection and proprietary Royalside™ compound, providing a highly durable home exterior that is virtually maintenance-free and will not dent, rust, flake or corrode. Royal Genesis Siding, which is manufactured in Newbern, Tenn., will be installed on 43 Builders Blitz homes throughout Tennessee.

Home Builders Blitz is a partnership between Habitat for Humanity affiliates and the building community to build and renovate homes across the United States. Builders and Habitat affiliates work closely to organize all aspects of building, including securing subcontractors and suppliers, fundraising and seeking donations of materials. Builders participating in the program this year will work with more than 100 Habitat affiliates.
