Glencore International specializes in producing and distributing metals, minerals, petroleum products, and agricultural products, primarily for the automotive, steel, and food-processing industries. The group also offers logistical, supply, and financing services. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- oil products, coke and coal (63.9%);
- metals and minerals (26.4%): aluminum, zinc, copper, alumina, iron alloys, nickel, cobalt, etc.;
- agricultural products (9.7%): wheat, corn, oilseeds, sugar, etc.
At the end of 2012, Glencore International had 15 production sites worldwide.
Net sales break down geographically as follows: Europe (50.8%), Asia (20.6%), Americas (19.7%), Africa (7.9%) and Oceania (1%).
