• Orhan Osmansoy joins Global in the capacity of CEO to head its Special Situations Asset Management business

Global appointed Mr. Orhan Osmansoy in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer to head the Special Situations Asset Management unit of the company.

Mr. Osmansoy has over 20 years of experience in the fields of private equity, corporate finance and activist investing. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of The National Investor (TNI), an Abu Dhabi based investment and advisory company where he spearheaded the firm's expansion throughout the GCC. Prior to joining TNI in 2004, he was a Managing Director at Dexter Capital Group, a London-based investment firm that specializes in strategic block investments in Europe where he was responsible for the origination and execution of activist and special situations investments. Before that, Mr. Osmansoy was a Senior Investment Associate at J.H. Whitney, a leading US private equity firm where he focused on late-stage venture capital investments and leveraged buyouts in Europe.

Previously, Mr. Osmansoy was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley where he was a member of both the equity derivatives and corporate finance groups in New York and London. In this capacity he structured and placed a number of equity-linked derivative products and worked on various financial buyer transactions. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (MBA) and the University of Virginia (BS).

Special Situations Asset Management is a specialized business unit at Global offering tailored asset management services aiming at value enhancement and optimal asset realization. The asset spectrum covers listed and private equities, real estate and alternative investments among others, focusing on the MENA region.

It is worth noting that the appointment of Mr. Osmansoy is part of the company's plan to strengthen its management team by hiring accomplished professionals across major areas to further bolster its core business.
