Norilsk Nickel initiates a project aimed to introduce data repository and reporting system for supply chain management

MMC Norilsk Nickel initiated a project aimed to introduce corporate data repository (CDR) and management reporting system.

During the first phase of the project, the system will be implemented in procurement and supply chain management. At this stage, the main objective is to provide business units of MMC Norilsk Nickel access to up-to-date and reliable analytic information concerning procurement plan execution and stock structure.

The end-client is Marketing, Commercial and Logistics Block. Project working group includes employees of the Company's IT Department, NN-Infocom LLC and AT Consulting (as consultant).

The project includes development of a unified platform for collection and analysis of data from six transactional information platforms based on SAP BW (Business Information Warehouse) and SAP BO (Business Objects).
Commissioning of the system is scheduled for Q4 2014.

Implementation of CDR and the reporting system will reduce the amount of time required to process large amount of information accumulated from different sources and facilitate preparation of analytic reports. Additionally, the system's functions considerably expand the scope and accuracy of reporting forms and indicators.
