Norilsk Nickel's integrated qality and environmental protection management system is compliant with the international standards

MMC Norilsk Nickel successfully completed re-certification of its integrated quality and environmental protection management system (QEPMS) confirming its compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 standards.

Re-certification audit was carried out by an independent certification body - Bureau Veritas Certification Rus at the Company's Head Office (Moscow), Polar Division (Norilsk), Polar Transportation Division (Dudinka) and Murmansk Transportation Division (Murmansk).

Audit report includes QEPMS development recommendations and notes the system's strong points, such as understanding importance of customer requirements, application of advanced IT and uninterrupted allocation of resources towards investments related to quality and environmental protection management.

Audit Chief, Vladimir Tkachenko, noted in the final statement that MMC Norilsk Nickel's integrated quality and environmental protection management system was developed, implemented and now operates in full compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 standards. Audit concluded that the system proved mature and well developed and is endorsed for the purposes of re-certification under the international standards.
