GROUP Business Software AG (GBS) consistently invests in enabling solutions for mobile and web use. At this year's CeBIT, the collaboration experts will demonstrate this effort through their mobile apps: At stand A30 in hall 2, they will introduce two new mobile apps that enable access to spam protection functions and the use of business applications on mobile devices. "Business processes in modern corporations are becoming increasingly mobile. Software solutions must also meet this requirement. After all, it is precisely this mobility that provides companies with more flexibility and agility in their daily business processes", explains Andreas Richter, VP Marketing Europe at GBS.

GBS takes a first step in this direction by releasing an app for mobile platforms that contains spam protection, which is one of the most important functions of the popular email management solution iQ.Suite. In the future, access to spam quarantine will thus be possible via smartphone and tablet from any location. Users will also be able to conveniently add emails to their personal blacklists or whitelists, or to simply have them re-sent from quarantine. This was previously only possible via a desktop application. "Quarantine cannot only be accessed through an app, but also through a platform-independent web application for the leading email platforms", explains Andreas Richter. Additional functions of iQ.Suite will also be available as mobile apps in the near future.

For CeBIT, GBS AppDesigner, with which users are able to intuitively create web applications without extensive previous knowledge, will also go mobile: Users are now not only capable of using their created applications on their desktops in Domino, Connections or Sharepoint, but they are also able to directly access them on a mobile device. This expands the range of ways in which applications created with GBS AppDesigner can be used. It also allows the deployment of these applications on smartphones and tablets without any additional developmental efforts. Not only is it possible to access applications via an active network connection, but also offline with no connection or a poor connection to the corporate network.

Both apps will shortly be available for iOS in the Apple Store. Android versions will be available after CeBIT.
