As part of the eighth annual awards of the British journal, Euromoney, Grupo SURA was ranked in second place in the Latin American financial service category. Grupo SURA is proud to announce that it has won this award, which together with several others received for 2013, acknowledges its team performance and commitment.

Medellin, March 6, 2014.Grupo SURA has just won the "Best Managed Company in Colombia" award for 2013 given by the British journal Euromoney. It also came in second place in the Financial and Banking Services Category for Latin America.

This new recognition, following several others received by both the holding company and its subsidiaries in 2013, is the product of the work and efforts of an entire team all of whom have demonstrated once more their extensive knowledge and skills.

The "Best Managed Companies in Latin America" survey carried out every year by Euromoney amongst market analysts and financial researchers throughout the region, made special mention of Grupo SURA´s compelling and consistent strategy. The publication also stated that the Company also excelled with its capacity to identify new growth and expansion opportunities in a growing economy such as that of Colombia, attaining targets that were set several years ago with the strengthening and consolidation of the Organization both on a local and regional level.

David Bojanini, Grupo SURA's Chief Executive Officer stressed the importance of this award by stating: "This, together with the other awards we have received so far, has been made possible thanks to a very competent and committed team who, in keeping with the most rigorous ethical criteria, have worked steadily towards attaining the great results we are seeing today ".

Euromoney's ranking is based on an analysis conducted amongst market analysts from Latin America's top banks and research institutes, choosing the three best companies in each of the countries or sectors covered, taking into factors such as robust market position, profitability, growth potential, management performance and earnings.
