Grupo Modelo, S.A.B. DE C.V. The Antitrust Commission (CFC) closes the investigation regarding exclusivities in the Mexican beer industry, following commitments from the major brewers Mexico D.F., July 11, 2013. Grupo Modelo SAB de CV (BMV: GMODELO) has committed to an agreement with the Antitrust Commission (CFC) which closes the investigation of exclusive customer contracts in the traditional and on-premise channels in the Mexican beer market.

After an extensive review, which began in 2010, the CFC has accepted a series of commitments from the two major brewers in Mexico, Grupo Modelo and Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma, designed to foster further transparency and competition in the brewing industry.
As a result of these commitments, the existing contracts between Grupo Modelo and its customers will remain in place until the end of their term. In addition, Grupo Modelo has agreed to:
