Guidance Software, the makers of EnCase®, the gold standard in forensic security, today announced that author, Stanford lecturer, and cloud industry pioneer Dr. Timothy Chou will give the closing keynote address at Enfuse 2017 on Thursday, May 25.

Chou has been a visionary in the cloud software industry and a leading academic, held board seats with a number of successful tech companies, published several books on the evolution of the cloud, and captivated thousands of audience members with his presentations around the world.

Enfuse, which will be held from May 22-25 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, is one of the largest international gatherings focused on current trends in cybersecurity, information risk management, and digital investigations. Enfuse 2017 boasts more than 100 sessions in eight tracks and offers unequaled labs, practical, hands-on solution training, and access to executive leaders.

“As companies are increasingly digitizing and moving and interacting with sensitive data and applications in the cloud every day, cybersecurity is more important now than ever before,” said Chou. Precision technology powering an industrial Internet of Things has the potential to reshape the planet, but security must be a key consideration. I look forward to engaging with the audience at Enfuse at such a pivotal moment of time for the industry.”

“The exponential growth in new types of endpoints is destroying the idea of the traditional network perimeter, with profound consequences for digital investigators and cyber security professionals,”

said Michael Harris, chief marketing officer at Guidance Software. “There is no one better to offer the Enfuse community insights on the direction of IoT security than Dr. Chou.”

About Timothy Chou

Tim has been lucky enough to have a career spanning academia, successful (and not so successful) startups and large corporations. He was one of only six people to ever hold the President title at Oracle. As President of Oracle On Demand he grew the cloud business from it’s very beginning. Today he serves on the Board of Directors of Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB) and Teradata (NYSE:TDC). In addition, he has been a lecturer in computer science at Stanford University for more than 15 years and continues to give seminars. Since leaving Oracle he launched Stanford’s first course on cloud computing. In 2010 he also started lecturing at Tsinghua University. He has delivered keynote speeches on all six continents and recently launched an online class focused on enterprise IoT, which uses Precision: Principals, Practices and Solutions for the Internet of Things as the text.
