Heijmans has signed agreements with Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance and BrabantWonen concerning the development and construction of 227 homes as part of the Willemspoort district area development in 's-Hertogenbosch. The value of the agreements is approximately € 41 million. In addition to the 227 homes, Heijmans itself will also build 75 apartments for sale on the open market.

The agreement between Heijmans and Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance concerns the construction and development of 152 apartments for rent on the open market. Syntrus will include these homes in its portfolio on behalf of one of its customers. BrabantWonen will acquire 75 subsidised apartments. In addition, Heijmans itself will build another 75 apartments for sale on the open market.

Phase 1 will commence at the beginning of 2016, which is when the first 75 rental homes and 25 owner occupied homes will be built. Completion of the more than 300 apartments is expected in 2019.

Heijmans has been working on the Willemspoort district area development with the Municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch since 2010. The new apartments form an important addition to the supply of homes in the mid-segment in 's-Hertogenbosch. The signed agreements are consistent with the strategy deployed by Heijmans in relation to inner city transformations. In addition to the apartments, the Willemspoort district area development also includes a hotel and a catering area.
