The OTE Group rapidly develops new generation networks -for both fixed-line and mobile telephony- increasing population coverage, speeds and capacity, while offering the most innovative services, in order to better support its customers' everyday life.

No1 in population coverage

With regard to mobile telephony, the COSMOTE 4G population coverage has increased to 85%, thus retaining its No1 place, far ahead of competition.[1] Respectively, population coverage of the 4G+ network, launched in January 2015, has already reached 64%.

In fixed-line telephony, the Group continues expanding its optic fiber network, already providing access to VDSL speeds to more than 2 million households and businesses, i.e. to more than 42% of the country's total phone connections, aiming to exceed 47% (€2.25 millionhouseholds and businesses) by the end of 2016.

The best Internet speeds & innovative services

With the use of COSMOTE networks, subscribers are offered access to super-fast Internet speeds rendering the whole navigation experience highly enjoyable. With its mobile 4G+ network, COSMOTE's mobile internet is the only one in Greece (and one of very few in Europe) offering speeds up to 375 Mbps, while it will soon reach 500 Mbps, which COSMOTE showcased first in Greece. As for fixed-line telephony, VDSL speeds up to 50 Mbps render downloading and streaming faster than ever, while also allowing for multiple electronic devices to be online simultaneously.

With the innovative COSMOTE Home Speed Booster service, COSMOTE Home Double Play subscribers can increase speeds of their fixed-line Internet via the COSMOTE mobile network and, thus, enjoy speeds up to 100 Μbps. Additionally, the OTE Group is upgrading its international Internet connection, as well its entire IP backbone network to nX100Gbps, in order to manage effectively the continuously increasing data traffic volumes.
