HELLENIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZATION S.A. The newOTE CINEMA Start Trekchannel premieres onOTE TVonMonday 11 July. The channel will be airingall the Star Trek movies, from the first one, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, 1979, until the most recent one, Star Trek Into Darkness. The OTE CINEMA Star Trek will host the original television series,Star Trek The Original Series, which gave birth to the sci-fi legend of the franchise and this year celebrates its 50thanniversary.
OTE TV creates another pop-up theme channel for its subscribers, this time with one of the most legendary series of science fiction films of all times.
With 24-hour programme, OTE CINEMA Star Trek will air:
- All 12 Star Trek moviesfrom 1979 till 2013(Star Trek: The Motion Picture-1979, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn-1982, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock- 1984, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home-1986, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier-1989, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country-1991, Star Trek VII: Generations-1994, Star Trek VIII: First Contact-1996, Star Trek IX: Insurrection-1998, Star Trek: Nemesis-2002, Star Trek-2009, Star Trek into Darkness-2013).
- For the first time on Greek television, full and in high definition, theStar Trek The Original Series(1966-1969) created by Gene Roddenberry, with William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley, Nichelle Nichols. The OTE TV subscribers will be able to watch all the 79 episodes of the series that created the cult phenomenon Star Trek.
The OTE CINEMA Star Trek channel will be on air until Sunday 31 July and will be available through theOTE TV GOservice.
