Over the course of three days, the team brought their vision to life!

According to our Chief Canville Architect/Customer Service Manager Michael Taylor the most challenging part was the roof. "We knew we wanted to make the structure 3D to make it stand out, but we also knew the roof was going to be a huge challenge due to the weight of the grocery items," said Taylor. The rules of the competition stated that no adhesive materials could be used to hold the structure in place, so the team used wire and cardboard (approved materials) to help create the slanted roof of the birdhouse. Our CEO Brian Sharples also "pitched" in to architect the internal structure that supported the roof "shingles".

Ultimately, our team did not take home the golden can trophy (Samsung beat us out with a pretty cool CANterpretation of their Austin City Limits Music Festival Stage), but we're proud to say that we donated more than 2,600 food items to Capital Area Food Bank, which will provide hundreds of meals to hungry Central Texans.
