Paris, 18 March 2014 - Ingenico (Euronext: FR0000125346), the world's leading payment solutions provider, is launching its new generation of e-health terminals and is presenting PRIUM-4, the first version dedicated to pharmacists. This terminal is more efficient, quicker and more innovative, featuring on-demand services.

Ingenico Healthcare/e-ID, the market leader for Health card secure solutions in Europe, is launching a new fixed terminal for healthcare professionals to meet their changing needs, simplify their everyday work and enable them to focus more on the care and medication delivered to their patients.

The PRIUM-4 is the first member of this new generation of terminals and is designed to be used on pharmacy counters. Its predecessor, the PRIUM-3s, the first terminal in the 3-slot generation, is used in over 80% of French pharmacy counters. Offering the same advantages as the PRIUM-3S, the PRIUM 4 also delivers quicker data exchanges (Ethernet network connection) and boasts an improved interface (comprising a larger graphic display screen and an ergonomic keypad), all of which is part of the secure Telium platform, the global benchmark platform for electronic payment terminals.

Offering an embedded secure service for signing e-medical claim forms , using the patient's Carte Vitale (e-health card) and the CPS card (healthcare professional's card), PRIUM-4 innovatively provides a range of pre-integrated services that can be activated on demand:

  • Secure update of Carte Vitale at the counter in order to ensure accurate billing.
  • Bankcard payments using an optional PIN pad and the PayPharma service.
  • Staff authentication and operation traceability with contactless badges.
  • Remote assistance and administration to supervise system management and updates.
